Can I transfer qualifications that I have completed at other institutes?
Yes, for our AUDIO PRO and AUDIO DIPLOMA courses, we can take completed courses, passed exams or received certificates into account if the topics overlap with our course content.
Will I have to repeat what I have already learnt?
The modular structure of our courses allows you to skip content. This means that you don't have to repeat material you've already learnt, but you can take the relevant multiple-choice exams straight away. This verifies that you have actually mastered the content, and you can be sure that you are not missing any important basics.
If you need to revise some basics, that's no problem either. The content of the course you have enrolled in is completely available to you in the Online Campus.
In addition to the multiple-choice tests, you will also have to complete practical tests to receive your certificates. These are usually productions from the HOFA course, which you mix at home and send to us. These cannot be skipped, but will give you important practical experience and valuable feedback from the HOFA tutors' analysis of your work.

How does the acceptance of content affect the length of my course at HOFA-College?
Since we are generally flexible in terms of duration and workload, we can adapt the course to suit your prior knowledge, the content you have studied and your preferred pace of learning. The best way to find out is to contact us.
And how does this crediting of content affect the price?
A price reduction is possible. Please send us appropriate proof, such as examination results, certificates or diplomas. We will then prepare an individual course offer for you.

I already have a lot of prior knowledge in audio engineering. What can I learn at HOFA-College?
The AUDIO DIPLOMA online course will provide you with a solid foundation, expert knowledge and, most importantly, a wealth of additional content in areas such as 3D audio, game audio, music business, sound design, orchestral music and music video production.
However, it is not only theoretical knowledge that is crucial to your success, but also practical experience, support and personal feedback from professionals. With up to 35 practical assignments and detailed analysis of your work, we place great emphasis on practical training in our courses. The assignments are drawn from various areas including mixing, recording, mastering, music production, sound design, acoustics, film sound and many more.
You will receive an analysis of each submission from our tutors, who will focus on your individual strengths and weaknesses. Tutors are also available to answer your questions by phone, email or chat throughout the course.
Another part of the HOFA-College courses are the studio workshops, which we stream live from our recording studios and which are then permanently available to you on the Online Campus. You can ask questions directly in the chat during the live streams.

It is also important for you to know that you can cancel your HOFA-College course at any time: After the first six months, you can cancel your course with three months’ notice.
