Course of Studies
Within these twelve months you will go through four modules in succession. Each module has a duration of eight weeks and corresponds to 15 ECTS points. The top-up programme in audio engineering covers a total of 60 ECTS credits.
In this module, interdisciplinary topics are discussed in the discourse of research and practice in the field of sound engineering. This will enable you to carry out independent empirical research in the broad context of sound engineering later on. Your knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research skills, your communication and critical evaluation skills will be consolidated.
IIn the second module, you will specialise further in the field of audio engineering. This also includes carrying out an independent project and thus deepening your theoretical skills from the first module in a practical way.
The objective of this module is to prepare you for critical and theoretical work in higher education. There is a particular focus on your main topic: audio engineering. This module provides you with the necessary skills to find answers to questions – also by means of quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Finally, you submit a proposal for your final thesis.
In order to successfully complete your studies, you will write a final thesis. Therefore, you will study a topic of your choice in the field of audio engineering. The topic of your thesis can be of a practical, theoretical, technical or historical nature. You can work on your topic independently.
Of course, you will receive professional and individual support in the process of writing your thesis.
