Online Academy for Audio Engineering & Music Production

Revised and Extended Version of the Topic Course Live Sound Engineering

Live sound and audio engineering for live events is an exciting field and highly interesting for many aspiring audio engineers – whether it’s for the best sound at their own band’s gigs or as a professional live sound engineer for clubs and on tour.

As part of the HOFA AUDIO DIPLOMA or as a stand-alone topic course, the online course Live Sound Engineering is now available in a revised and expanded form.

All existing content has been thoroughly reviewed and updated. New practice-based content on planning sound reinforcement systems and organizing a tour production is now included as well. This new edition gives plenty of space to the practical implementation of a live production: from planning, set-up and sound check to FOH and monitor mixing.

New videos, exercises and practical tasks have been added to the course, which concludes with the “Live Sound Engineering” certificate.

The authors and tutors are live sound professionals and have been active for years as audio engineers in the venues and clubs across Europe.

The new edition of this topic course is now available. The online course is included in the HOFA AUDIO DIPLOMA course bundle with a discount of over 50%.

All active participants in the AUDIO DIPLOMA course will automatically be provided with the revised version.

  1. Hi,
I have no experience in Live audio but I’ m really interested in learning from scratch, will this course be able to help me ?

    1. Hello Yassine
In order to do the course effectively and become a skilled live mixer afterwards, we recommend that you first go through the basics of sound engineering. You should have knowledge of microphone placement and mixing and also know how to use an EQ, for example. Therefore, many of our participants take the HOFA AUDIO BASIC or HOFA AUDIO PRO course alongside the Live Sound Engineering course to refresh their knowledge of the fundamentals. If you already have this prior knowledge, you can start right away. Please contact us if you have any further questions. Best wishes
