HOFA XMAS MIX CONTEST 2024 Download
All tracks start at the same spot; you can place them at the starting point of the mixing project in your DAW. The song has a tempo of 120 bpm. The tracks are on hand as 24-bit wav files in 48 kHz, the zipped folder has a size of 538 MB.
The MIDI file is only a chord track, which is not intended to be audible in the mix!
You will also find the HOFA Mix by Jochen Sachse in that folder. This mix shows how he envisioned the song but is not intended as a reference.
The zip file also contains a link to a video clip with important information – please watch it before you start mixing 🙂
MIX
You are allowed to trigger drums, to master, copy & paste or even remove individual elements. For the sake of fairness it’s not allowed to add new tracks or to change tempo, pitch or structure of the song.
When judging the mix, the jury is looking for harmonious sound characteristics that fit in the genre, with powerful drums and bass, balanced levels and a well-defined spatial depth.
REMIX
Your options for the remix are endless: use those tracks of the download you want and add whatever you like. Nothing’s forbidden – but of course the song should still be recognisable and “radio-compatible”. Be creative!
When rating the remix, the jury pays attention to creativity, sound quality, sound design, arrangement and balanced proportions.

There you can also listen to the submissions of the other participants.
For organisational reasons we can accept only one (the last) sent mix for the contest. Please check your mix in detail before you send it.
