Studying online is becoming more and more popular: you can study at your own pace, alongside your job and family; when and where you want \u2013 and still network with like-minded people via online workshops. Online studies offer many advantages and are also more climate-friendly than face-to-face studies, as they reduce the burden on transport and infrastructure.<\/p>

We need energy primarily for our computer, server, audio and video technology \u2013 for which we use green energy. This means that you can complete the HOFA-College online courses completely from your home, saving resources.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Solar power and combined heat and power generation<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The generation of electricity and heat causes a lot of CO2. That\u2019s why we only use green electricity. Additionally, our photovoltaic system generates more electricity than we consume ourselves.<\/p>

The HOFA studios are heated with efficient and environmentally friendly combined heat and power in our own micro-cogeneration plant. We generate electricity in it and use the waste heat from the generator for our efficient heating system. This reduces CO2 emissions by half compared to separate electricity and heat generation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We work environmentally friendly<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Each of HOFA\u2019s employees contributes to a sustainable corporate culture. Environmental protection and the reduction of CO2 emissions are included in all decisions \u2013 for example, when we talk about new technology, product innovations, electric vehicles, an improvement in our operating processes or future developments.<\/p>

Technology plays a major role at HOFA \u2013 after all, in addition to being an online audio engineering school, we are also a music studio, software developer, room acoustics supplier and media service provider. We therefore use a lot of studio and office hardware, server technology and video equipment. In doing so, we pay attention to long-lasting and resource-efficient technology, an environmentally conscious way of working and local partners and suppliers. A highly digitalized and paperless office not only saves us time, but also avoids unnecessary CO2 emissions. Emails replace business mail, and a digital archive avoids tons of files and folders. We mainly rely on electric vehicles for our company fleet, and our charging infrastructure is also available to our employees.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Sustainable geothermal energy<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of an energy-efficient renovation in 2025, we converted our studio and office buildings to brine-water heat pumps. This involved laying over 700 meters of pipes at depths of up to 40 meters. Geothermal energy is one of the most efficient and therefore often the most eco-friendly heating options, not least because we use green and solar power to operate the heating systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

By taking these measures, we want to do our part to leave a healthy planet for future generations so that they too can do what they love \u2013 such as making and producing music \u2026 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>
